Deshabhimani Fabricates; Chief Minister Propagates

Kerala BJP president Kummanam Rajashekharan has lashed out at Chief Minister Oommen Chandy for standing party to the canards spread by Deshabhimani and Pinarayi Vijayan. Warning the Left and Right political segments that the day when people will give a befitting reply to those who promote political ostracism is not far away, Kummanam reminded Oommen Chandy that he had a duty to the people as Chief Minister too. If it can be proved that I have made communal statements in connection with the issue of traders who have their business in and around temples, then legal proceedings against me can be initiated, said Kummanam.

“It is an unattractive fact that Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala Oommen Chandy is bolstering up the fabrications being propagated by Shri Pinarayi Vijayan and Deshabhimani. Oommen Chandy is not a mere Congress leader, but the Chief Minister of an entire state. Had he shown the grace to listen to my side, this kind of a response would not have come up. Instead, when such inferior political canards are propagated, it is obvious that the motives lies elsewhere,” said Kummanam Rajasekharan.

Highlighting that systems like the Intelligence can be made use of to verify matters, Kummanam said that “it could be an embellishment for Oommen Chandy to bolster up such fabrications. But not so for a Chief Minister.”

“At a time when corruption and the anguish of those belonging to Dalit communities stand in the forefront, common man can easily understand easily gauge why the ruling front and opposition have joined hands to pin down their political opponents. There is deep rooted fear if an axe would fall on base of the adjustment politics which is being staged here since time immemorial. Also, it is unfortunate that reverential persons like Kanam Rajendran and VS Achuthanandan stand party to the same. It would never be wrong to understand that this is part of a wider conspiracy hatched by Left and Right parties,” he added.

“The people of Kerala can easily comprehend the move being made to hound me and the party, via such propaganda. They will react and oppose the same. Time is not far away when those who promote political ostracism will be given a befitting reply by common man,” said Kummanam.
