Thiruvananthapuram: Launching a scathing attack on the Congress and the CPM in connection with the upcoming Assembly election in Kerala, BJP State President Kummanam Rajasekharan today questioned the silence of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on atrocities against Dalit girls in the State and senior Congress party leader AK Antony’s silence on rampant corruption under the Oommen Chandy Governemnt.

Addressing a press conference here, Kummanam Rajasekharan alleged that two Dalit girls in Adoor have been raped by a group of Congressmen and the family members of the  girls were knocking the door of the people who are in power for getting elections

Though the National Human Rights Commission also interfered in the case, no action was taken, he alleged.

“Now, Rahul Gandhi is in Kerala. Why he did not visit that place or make a statement condemning the brutal attack on that Dalit girls,” he asked.

Another Dalit girl in Kochi attempted to commit suicide following mental harassment by SFI activists of pro CPM. Now, the girl was admitted to Kottayam Medical College in a critical stage.

“Why Rahul not made any statement on the incident,” he asked.

Why the Congress Vice President, who rushed to Hyderabad campus to address the issues of Dalits, is keeping mum when similar issues happened in Kerala where the Congress party is in power, he asked.

The CPI(M) is promoting violence as they lost the confidence. Many CPM leaders are figured in several political murders in the State. People wanted to know who were behind these murders. Now, the CBI found that CPM leader P Jayarajan is involved in the Manoj murder case.

The BJP demands CBI inquiry into the controversial Solar Scam, murders of RMP leader TP Chandrasekaran and Muslim league worker Ariyil Shukhoor.

The party will file a complaint before the Chief Election Commission in connection with the appearance of a large number of bogus voters in the latest voters list prepared for the upcoming Assembly elections in the State. It is found that about 25-30 lakh bogus voters are added in the new list.

He hoped that the CEC will look into the issue and rectify the mistakes before going for the coming Assembly elections in Kerala.
