Will Achuthanandan reject RAM ashram award?

via HK published on July 2, 2007

Kozhikode: Kerala Chief Minister Achuthanandan is selected for this years ‘Ramaashram’ award, informed the award trustees here.

It’s not yet known that whether Achuthanandan will accept the award or reject it, as the award has a Hindu gods name as prefix (Ram) and a Hindu religous place name (Ashram) as suffix.

If going as per the neo party line of seculars like M.A.Baby, Achuthanandan should reject the award with a Hindu gods name otherwise it may hurt the sentiments of many of the party followers who firmly believes that name of a Hindu god is a  threat to communal harmony in the state.
