Why Hindu intellectuals are shying from addressing unethical and illegal practices adopted by the Missionaries for conversion

The Times Of India dated September 28th has an article by Shashi Tharoor entitled “Hindu fundamentals are under attack”. He has sung praises for the Missionaries. He is oozing with sympathy for affected Christian families. He repeats the fabrication being assiduously propagated by the Church that it was St.Thomas who brought Christianity to Kerala. They forget a fundamental error that the Cross was adopted as a symbol by the Romans, but if we are to believe our Padres then Thomas should be credited as the logo maker of Christianity !

Anyway, the point I want to make is that why are the Hindu intellectuals shy of calling a spade a spade ? Why are they avoiding the ticklish question of unethical and illegal practices adopted  by the Missionaries for conversion ?

The Missionaries are the first to provocate. Conversion involves a great degree of psychological brow beating. Abuse, vile and chicanery are brain washing techniques needed to break the emotional bonds of the affected person. That is why the New Life guy was indulging in vituperative abuse of Hindu Gods. Our Hindu intellectuals do not wish to answer this uncomfortable question, so whether it is Shashi Tharoor or the long catalogue of TV commentators, reporters and columnists, they steer clear of this topic in order to prove their so called “secular” credentials. But look at the Karnataka Bishop or the Delhi Bishop or the vast array of Islamic terrorists who go about brazenly proclaiming their goal of conversion.

The Christians expect the State to roll out a red carpet for their conversion gangs. See their demands – Police protection, Constitutional protection, reservation for converts, erecting Churches and Madrasas all over the place. Look at the statistics of Kandhmal, over 600 churches in that small district. I wonder what the people are doing, are they working or wasting time in mumbo – jumbo ! See how much foreign money is flowing to maintain a huge populace just for accepting an alien religion.

Why our Hindu intellectuals are shying from addressing this problem ? We need a debate on this.
