What makes Muslims ‘SPECIAL in India?

via HK published on January 19, 2008

Kochi: Islamic Fundamentalists has always tried to take the majority of Muslims away from mainstream fearing their loss of control over their subjects. The Hue and Cry being made by the Islamic Scholars challenging the Supreme Court order on Compulsory Marriage registration is part of this crooked agenda.

Keral Muslim Jamath Council General Secretary Advocate A Pookunchu once again reiterated their stands in a Press meet here. As per the Islamic Scholar this is an illmotivated game by Supreme Court to destroy the present stability of Muslim Community”!!

He says Islamic Marriages should be conducted only infront of the Parents and Imam of the mosque. There is no need to register these marriages with Government agencies!

Just as the Communist Government had bended the Educational reforms on School Timings as per the interests of Madrassa teachers, These Qazi’s know very well that Kerala Government will not follow the Supreme Court directive if they make a hue and cry over it.

Infact, it was Nisa A Progressive Muslim Women’s Forum who did a door to door campaign among Muslim community and requested the Judiciary to make the Muslim marriage registration compulsory to put a full stop to the atrocities faced by Muslim women.

Loose marriage alliances such as `Mysore kalyanam’ and `Coimbatore kalyanam’ ‘Maali Kalyanam ’Gulf Kalyanam’etc are in rise among Muslim Community which always put the poor Muslim Women’s family deprived of all legal rights.

Even the Muslims in many Islamic countries have to register the marriages as per the constitution there For Eg

Pakistan

Muslims need to register their marriages with the Nikah Registrar, who receives an appointment from the municipality, Panchayat committee and cantonment board or union council. The marriage certificate, known as the Nikah Nama, is written in the Urdu language, though a translation authenticated for accuracy may accompany the document.

Indonesia

Marriage Registration is Obligatory; Marriage Registrar Office of Department of Religious Affairs is responsible for registration of Muslim marriages and Civil Marriage Registrar Office of Department of Internal Affairs for all other marriages

Brunei

Marriage Registration: obligatory; registration through kathi authorised as registrar, or solemnised by kathi in presence of registrar

If the Muslims who live in such Muslim Countries have no problem in following the rules and regulations of their country, what is making our Muslim freinds so special?

More over Muslims living only in India enjoy such special rights. None of the Non Muslim Countries have any special exceptions made for Muslims apart from India.
