Thiruvananthapuram: The move to build a 3 storey Church
violating the norms in a densely populated Poojapura is threatening the
existence of Hindus around it.

Inorder to built this Church, the builders are digging 20
feet deep and removing soil from there threatening the near by houses. As per
the norms minimum two meter distance should be kept from the boundary wall while
digging this much deep. When complains they want Hindus to sell the land and
property to Church and leave the area.

Earlier there was a small prayer house engaged in conversion
activities. Following foreign support now they want to build this massive
church ignoring the complaints of near by Hindus. Following the complaint’s
earlier Corporation had issued stay against the building work but, Thanks to
Support of Congress and CPM who don’t want to antagonise church during election
time now the Church renewed the work.

Hindu Aikya Vedi warned of massive stir if the Church
construction gets own without considering the existence of Hindus in the area.
