Popular television ridicules Srishanth’s family

via HK published on November 14, 2005

A comedy show aired very recently on a popular visual media mimicked what went on in a private gathering at India’s youngest cricket talent, Srishanth’s family.  The crass mimic stint did not forget to trivialize and ridicule the most private and sacred religious sentiments of his dearest ones.

Let’s rewind the tape a bit and see how the same media channel held our breath as it televised through the lens the tight strung faces of Anju George’s fans and family, including the local priest as they stood and watched their darling star toe the line for her much anticipated Olympic jump. But then, there were no mimic artists to debase their sentiments or a mainstream media to air such unsavory entertainment.

It remains to be seen when our apathetic Hindu viewers will wake up and realize for how long they have been taken for a ride.

Really this issue is to be discussed among us and we should take action against the responsible team, especially to the director and producer Mrs.Diana Silverstar. I saw that programe in the Asianet Cinemala. There was no meaning to show the bit. May be the modern so called secular society is not interest about the entry of a Hindu, a devoty of Swamy in to the Cricket team. 5

How these mimicry groups survived and established?
By rediculing hindu rituals and gods in our own remple premises through mimicry shows (enjoyed by our people itself!!!)..during temple festivals..
Will any of them dare to do same with Islam or xian ?
Will any one dare to mimic or comment a single word abt Muhamad? or christ?
But our religious symbols and characters remain a soft target ..Most of the hindus ll only enjoy when any comment is made abt there own religion …we should blame hindus for this pathetic situvation…. 5

Please do not consider this as a small issue.

If we do that they will repeat the same. They have done this because he is a Hindu and he and his parents are beleving in Hinduism. 5
