Six activists of Karnataka Forum for Dignity were arrested in connection with kidnap and murder of two college students hailing from Hunsur on June 8, Minister for Home R Ashok said today.

The victims were first given sleeping pills, strangulated and stabbed to death.

Two special teams were formed immediately after getting the complaint and the culprits were nabbed while moving in two cars at Bangalore University campus.

The arrested were identified as Adil, Amin, Rehaman, Kousar, Atavulla and Safir Ahmed.

DG and IGP S T Ramesh, who was also present, said the government would be requested to set up a special court and appoint special prosecutor for speedy trial of the case as it was done earlier in cases involving serial killer.

The arrested were involved in communal violence at Mysore in 2009 and had served three months jail at Gulbarga prison.
