In Response to TOI Editorial (24/03/2010)Justifying Hussain’s Perverted Paintings of Hindu Gods.

 
The editorial is once again a vain attempt to defend the indefensible. Reams have been written by Husainwallahs defending his artistic proclivity to draw Hindu Gods and Goddesses, naked and also in vulgar sexual poses. There is nothing artistic in this premeditated denigration of a system of worship of several hundred millions across the globe. Why does the artistic proclivity in him gets dry when he is asked to paint his religious icons in lewd postures ? Is it plain cowardice or his fanaticism that prevents him from doing so ? Sexual weakness is not an exclusive monopoly of Hinduism alone. Islam and Christianity has an equally abundant erotic literature and indulgences practiced by their desert gods. The Old Testament which is common to these religions are replete with vulgar and lewd stories and incidents which would put to shame any xxx rated novel. Noah was made drunk and seduced by his own daughters ! What a lovely theme it should be for Husain, his artistic imagination can run riot ? Prophet Mohammed had married a child, why not paint that ? Why is his brush silent ?

To all those who defend this coward’s artistic licence, I have only one question to ask – If Husain were to paint you or your parents in such obscene poses, will you defend him ? If Husain were to paint your mother, wife, daughter fornicating with animals or in lewd poses will you permit it and support his artistic genius in action ? Why not let Husain paint his own mother/wife(or wives)/daughters and show their nakedness to the whole world. Let us all enjoy the beauty of his clan.

Neither Husain nor his perverted supporters should think that Hindu faith is meant to be rubbished about. Hindus have been at the receiving end for centuries. True independence is now only beginning to dawn in the Hindu minds. When they protest don’t try to quell it. Yes, Hindus are becoming aggressive like their Semitic counterparts everywhere.

In Qatar his brush will not draw one stroke and if he dare tries his sexual perversions on the Qataris, he will get the real taste of the Shariat, his hands will lie on the floor. Let him pine for the freedom of Hindu India in the cloistered confines of Qatar.
