Thiruvananthapuram: The state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party has taken strong exception to the tactics being resorted to by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in spreading canards about Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Lashing out at Pinarayi Vijayan, BJP leader MT Ramesh said that the Chief Minister’s act of waxing falsehood so eloquently is a vain attempt to cover up and justify the brutalities unleashed in his own village. It does not befit the stature of a Chief Minister to justify the deeds and atrocities committed by criminals, said Ramesh. Addressing  the press, he added that a remonstration will be launched on 16 June, protesting against CPM atrocities, in the state capital, which will be inaugurated by Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.

Condemning Pinarayi Vijayan’s statements, the BJP state general secretary said that the former has stooped to the level of being the CPM’s Chief Minister. At the press meet Ramesh said, “The Chief Minister has the moral responsibility to ensure that justice is met out to BJP- RSS workers. By justifying the inhuman brutalities unleashed in the village of Pinarayi, the Chief Minister has shown a green signal for the furthering of all such atrocities. Those who were attacked were the relatives of the Chief Minister who had joined BJP- RSS. It is a matter of shame that Pinarayi, who claims that Dharmadom is a Communist bastion, had to resort to bogus votes to win elections.”

Announcing that BJP had taken upon itself to expose the brutalities and fraudulence being indulged in by Communists, at national level, Ramesh lashed out at CPM for spreading canards of RSS violence, done with the sole intention of camouflaging their own brutalities. “Their tales of RSS resorting to violence is solely fabricated. Truth can never be hidden. Which is why it was exposed that the bomb which exploded during LDF celebrations was owing to the sheer negligence of their own party members and the person who died was hit by the vehicle of one of their own cadres,” he said adding that the Chief Minister was spinning fabrications, in spite of people having known the truth, for the sole reason of safeguarding his own party members.

Highlighting how CPM activists are so blinded by thoughts of cruelty, Ramesh pointed out how even a child was not spared. “Why is the Chief Minister silent about this? It is clear, with a few days, that nothing judicious need be expected from this government.”
