Picturesque town of Peermedu defaced by Crosses

via GSK Menon published on July 19, 2009

The beautiful picturesque town of Peermedu has been fully defaced by rows and rows of ugly crosses. Panchali Medu, the camping site of the Pandavas is now a grotesque graveyard of crosses. This is nothing but undeclared war and annexation of territories to make formidable blackmailing vote banks.

There is no environmental group to protest such ugly defacement of these beautiful hills. Our pseudo-secular cowards are keeping mum, why. Already Munnar has met with the same fate, at every turn of the road there is a makeshift church with a gigantic cross warning tourists that this is alien religion enclave.
