Philippines Bishops apologise for buying Posh Vehicles with Charity funds

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) expressed remorse yesterday over the “pain and sadness” inflicted on the faithful by the controversy over the lavish use for expensive vehicles by seven of its members, of funds donated by the public to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) for the poor.

In India – especially Kerala, Church dignitaries use the most posh vehicles, posher than even our film stars; and nobody raises their voice against it? These princes of the Church life style can be likened only to that of the blade/flat/money chain mafia.
