Hindu Political or Religious Leader to be arrested in UP by ATS?

BY VEDAPRAKASH

The Sensational media on the prowl

: Earlier in the case of IM terrorism, the TV-channels were accusing the Police and investigative agencies for discovering “different master-minds” in various states[1]. But now in the case of the newly discovered “new face of Hindu terror” – HM – Hindu Mujahideen (?), they have been unanimous in treating the police and ATS action. Specifically, IBN-CNN, NDTV, TIMES-ONE, X have been on the attack in maligning Hindus, Hindu institutions and Hindu religious leaders. Now, it is not known how they could not find any different master-minds in the case of “Hindu-terror”. Only the feature has been that its link spreads to other states! And no news wrap-up goes without any reference to “saffron terror“, “Hindu terror” and so on!

Hindu Political or Religious Leader to be arrested in UP by ATS

? Till morning, the channels were harping upon that a Hindu leader of UP had been under “scanner” and he would be arrested at any time by the Maharastra ATS! Evidently, they have been getting details from the ATS and they are broadcasting immediately with suggestive interviews, prompting clippings and exiting news-casts. In contrast, in the case of IM-terror, Jihadi-terror, Green-terror etc., they were accusing the authorities[2] for not giving full details about the terrorists! However, they were not doing such “scanning” process on day-to-basis, when the IM were bombing or the investigation was going on!

Terror net widens, ATS to question UP politician[3]

: The NDTV reported like this with the heading as mentioned. Tuesday, November 11, 2008, (Nashik): There have been fresh revelations in the Malegaon blast case. The Anti-Terrorism Squad has sent a team to Uttar Pradesh to try and question a right-wing leader[4] from the state who could be linked to the case. “The court has given us permission to question this person,” said Ajay Misar, the public prosecutor. On Monday (10-11-2008), the prosecution also revealed that that terror funds for the blast were sent through hawala. An account of Abhinav Bharat’s (a radical Hindu outfit) treasurer Ajay Rahirkar, who is now under arrest, was used. These funds were used in training and buying explosives and weapons. The ATS also produced details of who that money went to. According to ATS sources, Ajay Rahirkar gave Rs 1,15,000 to Sameer Kulkarni, Rs Rs 95,000 Ramesh Upadhyay and Rs 3,20,000 Rakesh Dhawade. “The funds were transferred through hawala through the account of Ajay Rahirkar,” said public prosecutor Ajay Misar. The ATS also revealed a link between the Malegaon blasts and earlier blasts linked to Hindu groups in the state. It revealed that accused Rakesh Dhawade — the weapons expert from Pune — was involved in blasts near mosques in Jalna, Parbani and Purna. He has also been linked to the Nanded blast of 2006. But the prosecution maintains that the main accused in the case is Ramji Kalsangre who is still absconding.

Note, how accusation is based on accusation, just like the theorization of hypothesis based on hypothesis and so on! Why such meticulous studies of “money-matters, transfers or hawalas” were not researched in the case of IM?

At last, the target is revealed as BJP MP!

The TV channels have successfully cracked the riddle of ATS scanner and found out that the arrested should be a religious leader and not political leader. They started beaming the video of Yogi Adityanath, of Gorakhpur and as usual, the videos of him with others. Incidentally, he has been the BJP MP from Gorakhpur, and he has alleged that the probe into the Malegaon blasts is unfair and has dared the Union Home Minister to take action against Sangh Parivar leaders in his constituency.

I will welcome the ATS (Anti-Terrorism Squad of the Maharashtra Police) and its master Shivraj Patil if they come to make arrests. The ATS probe in the Malegaon blasts is a pack of lies—it is rubbish,” said Adityanath. “The probe is a political conspiracy and has been ordered by the Congress, which is a master in such conspiracies,” he said.

Adityanath made the statement after reports that a second Hindu spiritual leader will be questioned in connection with the blasts on September 29. Sources in the ATS, which is investigating the blasts, say the spiritual leader is from Uttar Pradesh. The ATS has sought the Uttar Pradesh government’s cooperation in its investigation and secured court permission to question this “high-profile” person.

Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, a Hindu spiritual leader, and Lt Col Shrikant Purohit, a serving officer of the Indian Army, are under arrest in connection with the blasts and are suspected to be the main conspirators. CNN-IBN Correspondent Toral Varia reports sources in the ATS say the spiritual leader they are investigating held at least three meetings with Thakur and Lt Col Purohit. Thakur is believed to have mentioned this leader’s name during her narco-analysis test. The other accused include Shivnarayan Singh Kalsangram, Shyam Bhawarlal Sahu, Major (retd) Ramesh Shivaji Upadhyay, Sameer Kulkarni, Rakesh Dattaram Dhawade and Ajay Rahirkar.

Note these expressions: While they have so-many things undecided, how the ATS and the TV-channels have been so perfect in “scanning” the “scanning” daily and give something sensational?

Politically motivated

: Adityanath was earlier this month booked under charges of rioting, murder and disruption of peace for the riots in Gorakhpur district in January last year 2007. Adityanath’s relationship with the BJP has been under strain after he was arrested last year in connection with the riots and ticket distribution during the UP Assembly elections. Thus targeting him exposes the Congress’ dirty trick of creating dissention among the Hindu groups! So how the respectable government agency ATS could be used for such activities? That too, at the time of elections, how they could do that?

If Rajnath Singh’s coming to election commission office with “more friends” is violation, how is that the same media has been blind about the filing done by other political parties. The same TV-channels, earlier reported that so-and-so came to file papers with group, on elephant, and so on!

Needle of Malegaon suspicion points to BJP MP Adityanath

[5]

: The Hindustan Times[6] carried headlines like this! Amid speculation that he would be questioned in connection with the Malegaon bombings, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday (11-11-2008) refused to assist in the investigations and dared Maharashtra’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) to arrest him.

There is a dangerous conspiracy afoot to label the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a terrorist organisation and give a charitable name to Muslim outfits,” the MP from Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur constituency told reporters in Lucknow.  “I dare the police to arrest me and I will offer no help in their probe,” he added, amid reports that he was likely to be questioned in connection with the Sep 29 Malegaon blasts in which five people were killed.

why narco-tests were being conducted on Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, an accused in the Malegaon bombing, when it was not done with Islamic militants accused in previous bombings?

: Adityanath, 36, advised the ATS not to act on instructions from others and also questioned why narco-tests were being conducted on Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, an accused in the Malegaon bombing, when it was not done with Islamic militants accused in previous bombings.  Thus, he raised a valid question! His comments came after the ATS Monday filed an application in a Mumbai court seeking permission to interrogate a “high profile leader” and obtain cooperation from the Uttar Pradesh government in doing so.

Though declining to name the leader, the ATS has discreetly conducted operations in Farrukhabad and eastern Uttar Pradesh and found vital leads to the Malegaon bombing.  Investigations into the Malegaon attack have been constantly throwing up new leads since Lt Col P.S. Purohit, a serving officer of the Indian Army, was arrested Nov 5. Some of these leads have led to Adityanath, officials said.

Probe officials said Purohit had allegedly diverted money from funds meant for operational purposes of military intelligence to setting up Abhinav Bharat, the little known rightwing Hindu outfit gradually emerging as the fount of all activities. Eight people have been picked up by the ATS for their alleged involvement in the terror attack in Malegaon, about 280 km from Mumbai. Besides Purohit, the other accused include Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, Shivnarayan Singh Kalsangram, Shyam Bhawarlal Sahu, Major Ramesh Shivji Upadhyay (retd), Sameer Kulkarni, Rakesh Dattaram Dhavde and Ajay Rahirkar. The surprise arrests have indicated a change of course for police, who had blamed Muslim activists for a wave of bombings that have killed more than 145 people across the country since May.

Yogi Adityanath has been just like Swami Laxamananda Saraswati

: Adityanath, who is unapologetic about his strident brand of Hindutva politics, is widely held as responsible for the BJP’s foothold in eastern Uttar Pradesh. Known for his Hindu awakening rallies, Adityanath has also sought to justify the attack on churches in Orissa following the killing of a Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader. “The Hindu reaction (after the killing of the priest) is justified and it is high time that the Hindus should pick up weapons just like our gods and goddesses adorn weapons,” Adityanath, the successor of Mahant Avaidyanath of the Gorakhpur Temple Trust, had said. Adityanath has been active in reconverting other religious groups, particularly the low-caste converts to Christianity, back into the Hindu fold. In 2005, a large group of 1,800 people were converted in the town of Etah.

Note the mischievous language used by the press

: As mentioned, the language used by the HT has been retained. Note, while the Christian conversion is not questioned or even found anything unusual, it could find “activeness” in “reconverting” the converts to Christianity! If such interpretation is taken by all the naive, gullible and sleeping Hindus, definitely, there could be awakening.

The Rise of India’s Saffro-Nazis[7]

: Hehru is quoted as follows – A year before his death in 1964, Jawaharlal Nehru remarked that “The danger to India, mark you, is not Communism. It is Hindu right-wing communalism.” Today a wave of Hindu terrorism is raising fears that the country’s first prime minister could be right. The late Professor  I K Shukla, a tireless worker against communalism from all sides, coined the term “saffro-Nazis” to describe the saffron-clad Hindu rightists as a growing threat. `”I am glad that sociologists like Sharit Bhowmik (head of labor studies at the Tata Institute of  Social Sciences) saw through the game  plan of the saffro- Nazis functioning under various names,” he wrote in an email to Asia Sentinel prior to his death. “Maharashtra is, in effect, still run by the Shiv Sena both in mufti and khaki uniform. The terrorism sponsored by the Hindu Taliban is `cultural nationalism,’ while others’ retaliatory bid for justice and dignity is `Islamofascism.'”However, the learned experts never coined expressions Green-Nazism, Red-Nazism, Black-Nazism etc./, in the context!

The media has been anti-Hindu
