Maternal deaths are ok, if it is to create ‘Darul Islam’ in Malabar

While Muslim organisations in Kerala are lobbying for legal sanction for child marriage for Muslims , Reports from Mallapuram- The Muslim dominated district is showing their way ahead not only in High growth rate but also in high maternal death rate .

While death rate of mothers are comparatively less in Kerala , In Mallapuram district it is quite high. In the year 2012-2013 there were 40 deaths of mothers or pregnant women (?Pregnant girls) reported from Mallapuram . One of the main reasons for these maternal deaths is early pregnancy before 18 years or delayed pregnancy after 35 years.

In their urge to topple the demography equations in Kerala and to Islamise the state, Islamic leaders are encouraging marriages in a young age. Majority of the marriages held in Mallappuram is before 18 years of age. For them the deaths of these girls who were forced into marriage in their adolescence is acceptable as it is to fulfil their dream of Darul Islam in Malabar.
