Maoist – Jihadi Hands in Kozhikode Kiss Fest

Kozhikode: Police have confirmed Maoist hands operating behind ‘Njattuvela Samskarika Pravarthaka Sangham’ the organizers of ‘kiss in the street’ on 1 January 2016. The organizers of the event are under Intelligence surveillance, state reports. The group, under guise of ‘protests against Fascism’ through several modes like skits, songs and dances have the propagation of naxalism as their chief agenda. A scrutiny into the phone calls made by those arrested are said to have revealed a trail of Maoist links. 

Sources have revealed that the same group is involved in distribution of naxal pamphlets in Wayand. Police also suspect the hand of ‘Njattuvela’ behind the attack on Nitta Gelatin Ltd. Those who have received training in handling arms and ammunition are said to be the ones involved in the clash against members of Hanuman Sena. This, according to police, was a well planned move by the naxalites involved.

Meanwhile Aneeb, Tejas news reporter, who was also arrested for attacking police is an SDPI / Popular front Terrorist. Among the Njattuvela organizers, police had found ‘Nunchaku’ (a training weapon used in Karate ) from his bag.
