Kesari Award for Swapan Dasgupta and Raghaveeyam award to R Ananthakrishnan
Senior journalist and columnist Swapan Dasgupta has been selected for the Rashtra Seva Award, 2010, instituted by the Kozhikode-based Kesari Trust, for the invaluable contributions he has made to journalism.
The trust’s Raghaveeyam Award for young journalists would be given to Indiavision TV’s Kozhikode bureau chief R Ananthakrishnan for his environmental reports, said Kesari managing trustee U Gopal Maller in a release. The Rashtra Seva and Raghaveeyam awards, carrying cash prizes of Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively, would be given away at a function at Kozhikode on December 2
