via HK published on January 30, 2007

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : The whole Kerala media, especially visual channels were eagerly awaiting the speeches of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi at Thirivananthapuram yesterday to show Flash News with a heading “Modi Criticized Minorities”.

Even few channels broadcasted his speeches with live coverage, thinking he will speak something against minorities specially against Muslim community.

But after completion of his 45 minutes speeches, media bosses felt little upset as Modi spent more time to highlight the developments of Gujarat, the rich culture of Kerala, about Guruji Golwarkar and the importance of Hindu unity.

Most of the visual channels projected Modi’s visit negatively with a heading ‘Controversial Hero’ (Vivaada Naayakan) and  gave equal importance to those ant national’s who were opposing Modi’s visit to Kerala.
