Kannur Terror – Marxist Goons on Bomb Hurling Spree; Residences of 2 Swayamsevaks Destroyed

Kannur:Marxist goons went on a bomb hurling spree yesterday, with the residence of two RSS workers being badly damaged. A family member of one of the activists Sibin, is said to have lost her hearing as well.

The first Marxist assault took place on the residence of Sibin, an RSS worker in Chakkarakallu. Following the attack, inmates of the house suffered serious injuries. After unleashing terror, they proceeded with the next attack on the residence of another RSS worker Karunan. Assailants are also said to have unleashed terror in areas like Aivarkulam, where many RSS activists dwell. Bombs were hurled in galore in these areas as well. Reports state that high potency steel bombs were used throughout, by the Marxist goons.

In the attack which took place on Thursday afternoon, miscreants barged into the residence of Sibin with swords in hand, seeking his whereabouts. Sibin is Mukhya Shikshak of Bavode RSS Shakha. On knowing that Sibin was not in station, they proceeded to ransack the house, leading to heavy destruction. They walked out and gave final blow by hurling a bomb. The Marxist goons topped up the attack with a threat that they “would not spare their children”.

Remani, wife of Jayaraj has suffered hearing loss and has been admitted to a nearby hospital.

Sources have stated that the gang arrived in the car belonging to Prasith, a CPM activist, who resided nearby. The assailants proceeded to enquire the whereabouts and current residence of another RSS worker Abhilash, which did not meet with success. Sources stated that the gang used foul language and issued intimidating threats. Having failed in their endeavour, they spotted the residence of RSS activist Karunan and proceeded with another bomb attack. One of the bomb exploded after having hit the ceiling. However, the bomb hurled near Karunan failed to explode, averting a major disaster. A major portion of the residence has been destroyed.
