Thiruvananthapuram: Police
are on the hot trail of a pastor of a PentecostalChurch,
who had committed several financial frauds in Kerala and outside.

No action have been yet
taken against John Joseph alias Sam Kurikkala of Naranganam, Kozhenchery,
Pathanamthitta even after several complaints of financial cheating.

The most serious among these
complaints had come from a lawyer woman in Thiruvananthapuram from whom he had
taken Rs 15 lakh last year and never repaid. The Chief Judicial Magistrate Court,
Thiruvananthapuram, had issued arrest warrant in the case. Several warrants had
been issued against Sam but there had been no action against him.

In the Rs 15-lakh fraud
case, order was given for confiscation of Sam’s house and property but this did
not take place. Sources in the State police said that several complaints had
been received by the NRI Cell of the Kerala police that Sam had cheated several
people, posing as gospel singer.

Sources also said that Sam
had committed several frauds using fake identity and visiting cards. According
to a complaint, he had taken Rs 5 lakh from a Mumbai drug dealer Mukesh. He had
also reportedly cheated Sam Abraham, who was running a school in Kodaikanal, of
Rs 50 lakh with fake documents.
