Nun Ansethia(42) of a convent in Perungudi, Madurai who is a frequent visitor of Madurai Central Prison wass caught red handed by the security guards of with Cannabis and Mobile phone SIM cards. She was caught in the attempt of smuggling these prohibited things into prison.

She has been teaching basic literacy skills to the prison inmates for the past one year during weekends at Madurai Prison. When the prison officials searched her bag yesterday afternoon before entering the prison, they recovered packets of Cannabis and mobile SIM cards. She was arrested immediately and handed over to the custody of the Jail Suptd.

After questioning her Jail Suptd. released her and wrote a warning letter to the convent demanding strict action against this dubious nun.
