Deccan Herald mocks Sabarimala Tragedy

via HK published on January 16, 2011

Following excerpt is from an article published by Deccan Herald written by one R Gopakumar , evidently an Anti Hindu on Sabarimala tragedy.

In the melee, we saw a jeep hitting some pilgrims and then before I realised what was happening, people were over me.’’ When Murugan regained consciousness he was at the Vandiperiyar Government hospital. “I was only unconscious, not dead thanks to the lord though my right arm has sprained,’’ he said still refusing to give up faith in a belief which had all but failed to save many lives.

Will the editors of Deccan Herald allow a Journalist to mock if the tragedy was happened in Mecca or Jerusalem? Will Gopakumar dare to question the faith of Christians who follows Jesus who failed to save even his life?

No where in the article the author puts any blame in State authorities who utterly failed to provide necessary facilities to pilgrims. No where in the article the author wish to highlight the way devotees were maltreated.
