CPM threatens to block SreeKrishna Jayanthi Shobhayatra
The Marxists have come out with a renewed version of their ago old threat- the blocking and disrupting of SreeKrishna Jayanthi Shobha Yatra being conducted by RSS. This time, the threat has been issued by the district secretary of CPM Kannur, P Jayarajan.
There are many facts that have shaken the dwindling party- the presence of RSS that ensures celebrations of SreeKrishna Jayanthi, via these processions is one among them. Fear and desperation have led to the CPMs alleging baselessly that RSS is making use of faith with political motives.
Shobhayatras by RSS have always had widespread significance, with scores of people swarming to take part in celebrations, making them not just celebrations of Balagokulam. However, it has always been a Marxist fashion to disrupt the same, first via protests and then through violence.
