CPM hounds brothers-in-arms SIMI

via HK published on July 19, 2006

N.P.Prathpkumar, CPM’s councilor from Kozhikode today called on his own party members and the state government to look into the activities of SIMI whose cadres have infiltrated into many organizations in the city and close by areas.

“SIMI activists are said to have infiltrated into other organizations and the previous government has not taken any step to prevent their activities,” he said.

The councilor also said the recent blast in a fishing boat at Beypore, the serial blasts in Kozhikode city and those taking place in Nadapuram area could be linked to the Mumbai incident. “Terrorist activities received support from unexpected quarters in the past and it’s high time the government initiate stringent measures,” added floor leader and CPM councilor PT Rajan.

Mayor M Bhaskaran, who chaired the meeting, said the matter has attained utmost seriousness as investigation has been extended to this part of the state. “The council would express its concern to the State Government and ask for a tight police vigil,” he said.

It comes as a surprise to people who have just read enough about the party’s post election alliances with Muslim organizations like the PDP, INL and the NDF. Its more of an ‘European secret’ that the CPM is glove in hands with these terrorist organizations and are even supporting them to create communal disharmony,

Haindava Keralam had reported earlier that the new government being headed by Sri. Achuthanandan was a bad mix of Marxist goondaism, Muslim terrorism and the Spirit – Land mafia. Double standard and unexpected reversals in policy has become quite synonymous with the CPM, a far cry from the cadre and ideology based party it once was.

The media which is up in arms when anyone from the minority community is killed has completely ignored and forgotten the gruesome murders of the RSS activists in the state.
