`CPM following annihilation tactics’

PATHANAMTHITTA: BJP senior leader O Rajagopal has said that the CPM is at present practicing a policy of finishing their political opponents.

Inaugurating the K T Jayakrishnan Master commemoration meeting in front of the Mini Civil Station gate on Saturday, Rajagopal said that Kannur, Changanassery and Nandigram incidents were ample proofs of the CPM’s various facets of the annihilation tactics.

The Nandigram genocide is the CPM’s agenda of evicting farmers from their own land and handing it over to the monopolistic capitalists. The other side of the incident is the failure of both Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to visit Nandigram, he said.

Rajagopal urged both the leaders to visit Nandigram at the earliest to get a feel of the happenings. The BJP leader said that the Travancore Devaswom Board had already proved a total failure on all fronts. The rationing of aravana prasadam is unheard-of in the history of the temple, Rajagopal said.

He said that the Devaswom Minister should be a religious-minded person. The president of TDB and the two members, by taking oath in the name of God, had proved that they became non-communists if the Devaswom Minister’s words were to be believed, he said.

Yuva Morcha district president Ashok Kumar presided over the function. BJP state secretary A G Unnikrishnan, district president Ajitkumar and secretaries Ashokan Kulanada and Ajit Pullad spoke.
