Converted Hindu youths from Kerala recruited for terrorist organisations

An investigation into the role of terror modules in converting Hindu youths to Islam and then transporting them to Yemen has revealed shocking facts. The investigation followed the conversion of Vimal Kumar of Alangad into Islam and thereafter taken to Yemen . Reports show that as many as thirty youths, from different parts of the country were converted and then taken to the Arabic country. The conversion is said to have taken place in Kaloor, Kochi.

According to Intelligence reports, the conversion is part of a well planned agenda, which led to the suspicion of terror groups backing the agenda. Reports have also revealed that youths, who were earlier converted to Islam, were handed over to the Lashkar recruit, Thadiyantevide Naseer.

It was known earlier that conversions were going on under the guise of Thwareeq organisations.Amongst these converted youths, many were sent to join terror outfits operating in Kashmir. One of them was killed in an ambush with the Indian army.

Intelligence wings have revealed that the target in special are Hindu youths, who are converted and sent to terror training camps, in return for huge sums of money from their overlords. Middle men are given special charge to lure youths from poor families for the purpose. Though the offers are lucrative initially, once the hapless youths know that they are ensnared there is little way out in escape.

Reports revealed that Vimal was lured into the racket by Sahal, a former convert. Vimal is said to have flown to Yemen on a 3 months visiting visa. However, the parties who have granted him the visa still remain elusive. Sahal, who was in the custody of Binanipuram police in Aluva, was questioned, leading to shocking revelations of extreme pressure tactics from overlords.

However, even though investigations are on covertly, sources have stated that Kerala police has a rather insipid attitude towards these proceedings.
