Thiruvananthapuram: Communist thugs badly needs lessons on ‘How to live in a civilized Soceity “ and to come out from their Fools paradise that they are still very much part of India and not part of some Communist Autocracy- where the Party rules the roost.

The attack was a sequel to the warning issued to the party’s Chalai area committee office for not paying the dues of the water bills even after repeated reminders. The party office ignored the requests and the Assistant engineer had warned that if the bill dues were not settled by Monday then the department would be forced to disconnect the water supply. This provoked the CPI(M) men and after showering abuses at the engineer over phone a group of workers led by party leader Karamana Hari, who was the former Thiruvananthapuram district president of the DYFI, ransacked the office and beat up the assistant engineer.

Two staff members who tried to prevent the engineer from being attacked also suffered injuries. All the three are admitted in the General hospital, Thiruvananthapuram and the engineer is still not in a position to talk.

The CPI(M) ever since it came to power in the last assembly election has been trying to use goonda tactics in all parts of the State and leaders from the party secretary Pinarayi Vijayan down to the local and area committee secretaries are trying to install fear in the bureaucracy, media and anything and everything which opposes the party or its style of functioning.

A lady staff in the water authority office at Kuriyathi while speaking to The Pioneer on conditions of anonymity said “It was a real tense situation and I am not able to speak even after several hours has passed by since the incident has taken place. The engineer was just doing his duty and the CPI(M) men came to the office and thrashed everything and beat up the engineer black and blue. I am a Left union member and am seriously thinking of severing all ties with this organisation which is promoting goonda elements into the leadership”.

CPM Office haven’t paid any water Tax for past Nine years. At present  78,000  Rupees is due

If Each and Every Citizen in the state are forced to pay Taxes, If each and Every Offices of Political Parties and Social institutions are charged for the services they get- what makes this CPM Chalai Office so special to exempt them from paying the Taxes??
