Bishop’s Dilemna: To Gay or Not to Gay?

via Anonymous published on February 9, 2007

Interesting story about how a Bihsop appointed a pastor known to be openly Gay, but was recently disbarred because he has found a life-partner, and apparently, this is against the church’s canons and laws.

Apparently, these “men of God” did not have any qualms about appointing “spokesmen of God” as long as they keep their secrets to themselves. Pray tell, what message was this Bishop trying to send by appointing a Gay pastor who was still “searching” for his partner. Did the Bishop expect pastoral therapy to fix the issue of sexual orientation? Perhaps this was the same expectation in trying to “save” the souls of priests who molested and sodomized children by giving them new pastoral duties (and new fields to graze/harvest)? Maybe the Bible pill wasn’t powerful enough? Given that the crux of Christianity’s message revolves around the saving of souls from eternal
damnation, I wonder what lies in wait for these philandering (and sodomizing) “men-of-god.” Oh I forgot, a confession will fix all this…
