Thiruvanantapuram: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has condemned the CSI bishop J.W.Gladstone’s demand for more reservation in the name of non-existent minority community status.

The VHP state prachar pramukh Sri.V.R.Rajasekharan in his statement has warned that anyone who hurts the sentiments of Hindus by spreading lies and conducting hate campaigns will be dealt severely.

Reservation for minorities on the basis of religion is a violation of the article 14 of the constitution. The minorities enjoy full protection and privileges as mentioned in the constitution. In fact the minorities have captured positions of power in all walks of life. In Kerala the Christians constitute 19.1% of the population. These Christians were converted from Hinduism to Christianity.

The SIUC is a christian minority community which did not exist since 1947. This is mentioned in the sentence of the case no.1961 KLT(SC). The Nettur Damodaran commision report clearly says that there is no minority community named SIUC. Shri.Rajasekharan said that the Christian sabha should not try to fool the public, the govt and the court by asking reservation in the name of such non existent groups
