SANDESHKHALI : TMC GOONS RAIN BULLETS ON HINDU VILLAGERS & POLICE FOR VOTING BJP, 26 INJURED

On 26th May, 2014 when the whole nation was celebrating after the swearing in ceremony of the new Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi, the villagers of Halder Para & Gayan Para under Sandeshkhali police station in North 24 Parganas dist. could not resist their desire to celebrate that moment specially after giving lead to the BJP candidate in 2 booths (153 & 154), unsuspecting of the outcome they would have to face for celebrating the event.

Today (27th May) morning at 9.30 am, 10-12 local TMC goons, allegedly under instruction from TMC leader Shahjahan Shaikh, Upa-Pradhan of Sarberia Panchayat, reached the house of Dhananjay Baul, local Hindu Samhati activist, at Gayan Para in search of him. Shahjahan Shaikh and local TMC already had some resentment against him as due to him they failed to suppress the report of rape of a Hindu girl at Jhupkhali. As Dhananjay was not present, they found his brother Mrityunjay Baul and beat him black & blue. Tapan Sardar of Halder Para also received the same fate.
Villagers of those two villages became furious and they blocked the main road connecting Dhamakhali to Kolkata at Rampur Haldergheri crossing. Villagers also allegedly detained Bappaditya Mandal, Haji Biswas and Bimal Halder who attacked Mritunjay Baul & Tapan Sardar in their respective villages.
5-6 police personnel from Sandeshkhali police station reached the spot to remove the blockade. After assuring the villagers of proper action against the offenders, they convinced them to withdraw the blockade and release the detainees. At this juncture Haji Biswas made a call to Shahjahan Sheikh. Within 15 minutes 3 van full of goons armed with guns and bombs reached the place. Immediately they started firing and bombing on the villagers at random. One police officer, Samir Ghosh, was hit by a bullet in his eye and 26 villagers also sustained gunshot injuries.

All injured persons including women were taken to Khulna Block Hospital. Thirteen persons have been released after treatment and 13 others which include Prabhas Gayen, Mantu Sardar, Gostho Gayen, Bonkumar Sardar, Manik Sardar, Gautam Gayen, Dholok Gayen, Mrityunjay Baul, Tapan Sardar, Satya Sardar, Ajay Gayen and others, who are severely injured by bullet, have been admitted to SSKM Hospital in Kolkata. Their injuries are critical because the doctors of the Block hospital could not extract the bullets from their bodies.

The attackers included Siddik Mollah, Akhtar Mir, Jiyarul Mollah – all are reportedly criminals of Shajahan gang. RAF has been deployed in the area but no arrest has been made so far.

This is only the latest of many post poll incidents of severe aggression on Hindus in Sandeshkhali police station area. Surely very soon this will start another Hindu exodus form the area, just like it happened from the Mograhat Block of South 24 Parganas dist during Left Front rule due to the persecution unleashed by the notorious CPM protected Muslim don Selim and his gang. He has now switched sides to TMC and is one of their prized minority assets.
