Asianet, Spare a thought for the thousands of innocent victims killed in bomb blasts

Asianet’s Nammil Thammil  telecast on October 11th titled as ‘Theevravadikal Keralathil’ by Sreekantan Nair, was having a dangerous proposition. The panel of participants had one former Muslim Extremist detenu of Coimbatore bomb blast case.

During the course of question and answer, Mr.Sreekantan Nair asked an explosive remark to him “Are there not so many innocent Muslims in jail”. Even that man was momentarily stunned by this remark.

I fail to understand what and why educated Indians are going to achieve by such irresponsible questions. As it is the Police is not being allowed to do their duty. It is not as though thousands of Muslims are being detained by the Police as is happenning in Guantanamo Bay by the U.S.A. Maybe a few hundreds are detained on valid grounds, possibly some innocents may get trapped, but asking dangerously loaded and suggestive questions to provoke is deplorable.

This is the reason why TV censorship is needed. Whether it is Sreekantan Nair or Karan Thapar, TV programs aired for public viewing should not contain loaded and leading questions.

Spare a thought for the thousands of innocent victims killed in bomb blasts. Sreekantan Nair never had the courtesy to call some relatives of the dead victims in his hoax show. Of course he is interested in Muslim advertisement revenue on which his channel runs. Who cares for the truth or the dead anybody who can give these TV channels coins and paper notes are like god to them.
