Asianet says, Rajasthan govt. against Malayalees!

via HK published on June 30, 2006

A news report aired by Asianet News yesterday goes like this:

“Supreme court restrained action initiated by the Rajasthan government against two Malayalees, Rajasthan Government had cancelled the registration of a institution run by Malayalees named Emmanuel International, based in Rajasthan’s Kota district”.

Fine, but that is only part of the story, those who listened to this news would have notion that Rajasthan BJP government was acting against these two so called Malayalees purposefully.

It is the moral duty of this News Channel to explain to their viewers that these two Malayalees named V.S. Thomas and Bishop Samuel Thomas were the two Christain fundamentalists who was behind the book ‘Haqeeqat’, which denigrated Hindus, Hindu Gods and Jain Saints.

Asianet which digs on each news especially those which tarnishes Hindu image, how come failed to mention the other part of the story in this case?

Previously Rajasthan High court had dismissed their bail application saying that the book Haqeeqat have highly abusive language hurting the sentiments of the Hindus. The Hindu Gods and Goddesses and Jain Saints were depicted in the book in “extremely abusive and highly insulting language” and therefore, the Court said, bail cannot be granted.

Why the news of bail rejection was not mentioned in your 24 hour news channel? If your channel would have little sincerity to the majority of Hindu viewers all over the world, you would refrain from such kind of biased reporting. Please don’t generalize Malayalees with those two fundamentalist Christains.
