Alarming growth of Christian Conversion Centres in Kerala

Kochi: Alarming growth of Christian spiritual centres in South Kerala is under the intelligence scanner now.

These centres thrive by exploiting socially and economically backward people with false promises and hopes of alleviating their grievances, and luring them to follow the path of Jesus.

There are more than 300 full fledged conversion centres operating in the area, In which majority of them is in Pathanamthitta District itself. These centres are operated with huge foreign funds.Christian Expatriates in US and Europe are funding these fraud centres.

As per Sources, They are purely Business establishments worth crores of Rupees, Many of them spends huge amount in Advertisement itself. Huge Flex Boards announcing the Prayer meetings is a common sight in the roads here. Many of them advertise themselves in local cable Television. The influx of Foreign funds multiplies depending upon the attendance of their Prayer Meetings.   

Apart from the hefty amount they receive from foreign agencies, they take Rupees 100 to 1000 for one months Prayer for the family!

Traditional Christians see such neo spiritual leaders mushrooming in the name of their Religion as Nuisances which will help only to invite the wrath of Hindu Organizations.
