Why the governor was killed in Pakistan?

via K V Raghavan published on January 6, 2011

Aasia Bibi, an illiterate woman of christian faith mother of five children in Pakistan. Being an untouchable (dont know for what reasons-as islam advocates no caste)has used a common glass for drinking water. The tea shop owner, complained that she referred to a contentious issue regarding the origin of the Quran.

The law as originally introduced by Zia ul Haq is that anybody can complain against Hindus and Christians of blasphemy simply by stating that they(muslims) were hurt by the speeches of Hindus and christians agsinst Islam and Quran. The so called offenders will be put in prison. So simple!

The Governor was trying to save the mother of five children, as he knows very well, that she is an illiterate and she could not have spoken and try to amend the law.

He(the governor) was shot dead.

The story ends.

The points to be noted are:

1. There is untouchability in Islam.

2. There is no religious freedom in Pakistan.

3. Laws are draconian.

4. Our secular leaders and Muslim personalities should and ought to live in Pakistan atleast for a year and should be educated of the laws and the customs.
