UP Congress President Booked for Maligning RSS
Lucknow : UP State Congress president Nirmal Khatri was booked for sharing a photograph of an swayamsevak in social media with a false description that he was being beaten up for robbing Chennai flood victims.
The FIR was lodged in Agra by RSS swayamsevak Ajit Chahar. The photograph in question showed Chahar being beaten up by police. Chahar revealed that the photograph was taken during a police lathicharge on RSS’ bicycle rally in Agra in 2012.
This same image was previoysly used by Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress president with another false description — RSS worker being beaten up for harassing a girl — told BJP leader Yogendra Upadhyaya
Agra Sadar Bazar SHO Pahup Singh said an FIR has been lodged against three persons, including Khatri, under Section 469 (forgery for purpose of harming reputation) of the IPC and Section 66-D of the IT Act.
