The Reality Of Arab Escapism

via Dr Babu Suseelan published on June 8, 2011

The current social upheavals in Islamic countries in the Middle East is paraded as an Arab Spring by leftist liberals, and phony secularists. We may call it as Arab Fall. Life in Islamic countries is a paradox. And if Muslims have not figured that out yet then they have spent too much time escaping from reality. Frankly speaking Muslims are living in a fantasy for word conquest for Allah. If Arab Muslims are sincere, they should have first worked for reforming Islam. Islam is in compatible with democracy, secularism, coexistence, liberation of women, tolerance, compromise and humanism. If Muslims have channeled their energy for reformation from within, then it would have been praised and their life would have been improved.

Make no mistake, Arab Spring is not meant for social revolution or reformation of Islam. It is anarchy and Muslims want to put back Islamic immaturity, irrationalism and brutality as state rule. Arab Muslims are not known for facing reality on a long term basis. History demonstrate that Egyptian (Nasser), Iraqi(Husain), Libyan (Khadafy)  and Iranian (Khomeini)  revolution did not bring back democracy and real secularism in that countries. Muslims are addicted to Islam and it has a serious side effect and that is, like all crutches, it is addictive and dangerous. Muslims cannot walk forward by looking backward. Like an Ostrich, Arab Muslims cannot bury their head in the sand and ignore the realities of life. These so called Arab Spring is based on self-induced ignorance and immaturity. And the social upheavals in Arab states are initiated by Muslims who are trying to live  not in a free society. They want a dream world created deceptively by Mohamad. In the long run the so called Arab Spring will do more harm, and will destroy more lives than it has been praised.
