Lord Ayyappa temple to come up in Russia

A group of Russians staunch devotees of Lord Ayyappa would be constructing a temple dedicated to the Lord in the famous city of St Petersburg in their country.


 


Iliya Petukhov Aka Induchoodan, a Russian who teaches Kalaripayattu at two spiritual study centres in St Petersburg and Moscow, who has become a staunch devotee of Ayyappa during his stay in Kerala to learn the martial arts, is reported to have bought one acre of land for building the temple.


 


According to a report Mr Iliya accompanied by his14 male disciples had left last night for Sabarimala on the traditional route i.e., Erumely- Azhutha- Kallidumkunnu- Karimala – Pampa – Sabarimala.


 


His disciples include doctors and engineers. Two of the doctors have adopted Hindu names Anjaneya and Drona, it said.
