Links between Al Qaeda and Popalar Front terrorists revealed

via HK published on May 29, 2011

The arrest of Muhammad Niaz by French Police now sheds more light into links between Al- Qaida and Popular Front of India, the Jihadi organisation based in Kerala.

French Police recovered PFI’s propaganda material which they use to recruit Muslim youth to their organisation. Niaz who is originally from Melur a village near Madurai in Tamilnadu was recruited to PFI from UAE and later he was send to France to recruit terrorists for PFI’s French arm. Niaz was part of banned SIMI and he later joined PFI which primarily consist of old SIMI members.

Although the growth of radicalism among Muslims in Kerala has been directly linked to PFI – Neither UDF nor LDF will call for their ban. Both of them had made electoral pact with these terrorists and their support were instrumental for their growth in Kerala.
