ISLAMABAD

: Taliban has been replaced by a Government filled with Islamic fundamentalists equally worse as former Taliban. Although the former Talibanic regime were honest and vocal about their implementation of Shariat , But the present Government proved that they are much worse than Taliban by ordering private TV stations to stop broadcasting popular Indian TV programmes by April 15, a move that apparently reflected the growing influence of hardliners who criticised the serials as being “un-Islamic”.

Afghan Information and Culture Minister Abdul Karim Khurram has said action will be taken against TV channels that do not stop airing the Indian serials by April 15.

Afghanistan

‘s Parliament recently passed a resolution seeking to bar TV programmes from showing dancing and other practices that are “un-Islamic”.

No Islamic Hardliners where there when

India

pledged a $ 100 million assistance for long-term reconstruction in

Afghanistan

. NDA Regime has made clear at that time that the Taliban and Taliban-type elements must have no part in governance and the country must be rid of terrorism. India has also offered one million tonnes of wheat for internally and externally displaced Afghans and $ one million for meeting a part of the requirements of the interim administration in that country.

India

has been a vital partner in

Afghanistan

‘s reconstruction since 2001, committing assistance of $600 million to aid

Afghanistan

‘s development.

India

recognizes that while financial assistance is important, sharing its expertise is equally crucial in helping

Afghanistan

to stand on its own.  Active contributions in areas such as the construction of important infrastructure, food assistance, educational scholarships, and special training programs for Afghan nationals, underline the key role that

India

has played in the renewal of

Afghanistan

.

India

‘s role in supporting the Afghan people on this path to democracy has been critical, providing needed supplies and training to ensure the successful conduct of the 2004 and 2005 elections, and helping build capacity for the new representative Parliament.

India

‘s generous pledge to construct a new Parliament building, and its ongoing support to the newly elected legislators and Parliamentary staff was considered as the lasting symbols of

India

‘s contribution to

Afghanistan

‘s success.

Wasn’t it then Unislamic to accept the generous help of  Hindu India’s money which was the contribution of Indian Hindus primarily.
