In his end days Castro confess – “Cuban model” no longer works

via HK published on September 9, 2010

In a rare, revealing moment, the former dictator of Cuba Fidel Castro admitted to an American journalist that the “Cuban model” no longer works. It was an admission of the failure of the communist economic model introduced by his revolution more than 50 years ago.

It also comes at a time when long-underrated brother Raul Castro, now running the place, has been saying much the same thing, and has been moving quickly to shake things up.

President Raul Castro who has been the leader of the country since 2006, has since admitted as such in numerous speeches. Castro had recently said that a full fifth of state jobs could be redundant, and that the government would have to review its role in the country’s economy.

So comrades, it is time to change. Your idol Castro took decades together to recognize Cuban communist model is a big failure, but he had been preaching it till he has in power. Your Pinarayi and Kodiyeri and all will take even more than that to realize. You don’t be fooled by their talks which are not practical.
