Hindu Temples Destroying Hinduism in USA with Devotees Millions

I have no idea how much has been invested in Temples in India but majority of them are in the business of destroying Hinduism by providing ceremonial services of Aarti & Bhajans only and ignoring 750 million poor Hindus living in acute poverty. For last few years the trend is to built Corporate Temples reflecting architectural marvels like Akshardham. The money spent on Akshardham was sufficient to built a integrated township for 2000 poor Hindu families with primary, middle and High schools along with facilities for youth, elderly and community events. In India problem can be attributed to functionally illiterate dishonest Hindu Leaders, lack of transparency in management and non-disclosure of financials as well as high illiteracy among the Hindus. Unfortunately same is true with highly educated Hindu Leaders in USA supported by majority of Hindus with equally or more higher level of education.

More than $5 Billion dollars has been invested in more than 450 Temples run by highly educated Hindu Leaders with no vision for Hinduism and no respect for equal rights for Hindus in USA. Majority of them have failed to give Hindu values to their own children. Barring may be 2 dozen temples, these temples are used for 4-5 hours every Sunday and on special occasions for ceremonial Aarti and Bhajan Kirtan with Electronic instruments. There are no programs for youth or their involvement in the management of these temples. There are no classes on Hinduism or discussions on Hinduism or devotional music training or training for traditional music instruments or Sanskrit/other Hindu language classes or speech/essay competitions on Hinduism or games or any Scholarships for practicing Hindu youth or any help to less fortunate from the community. On the other hand Sikh Gurudwaras in USA have all these programs for the youth and some of them are even providing SAT classes for students to compete in their Senior High Schools as well as programs for Senior Citizens. Even the Christian Church, Jewish Temples and Muslim Mosque are running schools, day care centers, Soup Kitchens for poor and various religious study programs for the youth and providing financial help to less fortunate from their own communities in USA. Recently an American asked a question on Facebook, when Hindu Temples are not teaching Hinduism or doing any social work in their community or take a stand for equal rights for Hindus; then what they are doing inside their massive millions of dollars facilities and millions of dollars in their bank accounts?

Teach our youngsters in basic Hinduism
In India only Hindu temples are plundered by the bloody secular governments to send minorities for Haj & Vatican in the name of secularism & Hindus keep quiet & keep their tails between their legs. The bloody govt dare not touch not even one mosque or Church because they know the consequences in both the cases. They still get both majority & minority votes.

The Hindu temples should use their extra fortunes to give education in basic Hindu tenets, principles & pracices of Hinduism, Jainism , Mahabharata, Ramayana, Bhagawad Githa, Vedic chanting etc & also teach basic yogic lessons to Hindu youngsters for their physical & mental well being, who are totally confused living in a foreign culture. All Mosques, Churches, Synagogues etc conduct regular classes for their youngsters. Try to see & learn from them if you are that slow.

    Hindu temples destroying
Well said Mr.Dave, in India also most of the priests are totally ignorant and only believe in pomp and show. Their only interest is to conduct high value pujas which only the rich can afford or giving VIP darshan to politicans and bureaucrats.

Temples are needed, but with social outlook
Temples and their routine pooja are needed. If temples are not doing this who will do this? And after a generation these practices will vanish. At the same time, temples practices should be oriented towards society and its development.More money is spent on temples is nothing wrong, but double that amount should be spent for the Hindu society’s spiritual development as well as social welfare

    Hindu Temples Destroying Hinduism

All the Hindu Temples must have 2 Term (2 years each) Limit for Trustees and 3 Term Limit for working committee members. After a gap of 6 years they are again eligible for these post. Every temple must post their financial statement on their websites and inside the temples. Temples like Durga Mandir providing ceremonial services only with millions in their Bank must post on their website as well as prominent places inside the temple that “CASH OFFERINGS ARE STRICLY PROHIBITED” when we will be left with one year expenses reserve we will restart accepting cash offerings.

If we really care about Hinduism, its values and culture; we should not fund Temples like Durga Mandir that are providing ceremonial services only. A Temple must provide religious, spiritual, cultural and educational knowledge to its devotees. Especially in USA besides a venue for worship and prayer; a Temple must organize full day Saturday-Sunday school on Hindu scriptures, devotional music, musical instruments, language, festivals, cultural events, programs for spiritual growth, youth activities, etc. It is important to pass on Hindu spirituality, culture, concepts and traditions to coming generations amidst so many distractions in the consumerist society. To save Hinduism instead of running after materialism, we should focus on inner search and realization of Self and in this process must involve the youth.

All the Hindu Leaders are misleading the Hindus that conversion to Islam or Christianity will become the sole reason for extinction of Hindus. Fact is Hindus will be eliminated because they are represented by most cruel, dishonest, biggest coward, racist & non-religious Leaders in this world.

WHO IS A HINDU LEADER: A person who is cruel, dishonest, coward, racist especially to his/her own community, does not mind dividing Hindus on the basis of caste and region, does not believe in basic human rights & dignity of a Hindu, and above all who do
