Hindu convention : Lottery released
NEW YORK : As a part of fund-raising for the event of the 4th Hindu convention in July 2007 at New York, a lucky draw was introduced, whereby the lottery ticket winners are entitled to numerous prizes like Mercedes Benz car, i-pod, gold ornaments etc. The cost of the ticket will be $100.
During the publishing of the lottery souvenir, prominent business person Shri Balakrishna Panikker was handed over a copy by Shri Radhakrishanan Tirur. The funds collected thru lottery will be utilised for helping the poor Hindu students for their higher education.
This news was announced by the chairman of Kerala Hindus of North America, Shri Venkat Sharma, who also said that the preliminary work for this program has started. Udayabhanu Panniker, the trust chairman gave the details of scholarship for degree course to financially backward students. Gen. secretary Raju Nanu presided over the function.
