Communists want jailed rebels released

via HK Correspondent published on May 2, 2006

The left bandwagon seems to have gone way out of its political semi Circle with irresponsible statements.

The Kairali channel has repeated shows highlighting the police atrocities as they call it against the naxal supporters in the Chattisgarh area. The horrible video footage and commendable narration stress on the goodness of the naxal movement. It seems to glorify the movement and stress the need of such establishments to fight legitimate elected governments.

Now the communist leaders have a new reason to cry foul about. They want the release of over 60 Maoist rebels in different jails around the country.According to the aged think tank this will help cement ties with the new Nepali government. In this case to cement ties with Pakistan the next thing would be to give up our claim on the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.

The communist party representative was speaking after attending a mass rally in Nepal and then at their parliament. He says economic help should be given to the new Koirala government. That would definitely be needed as other regional heavyweights like Pakistan and China would be ever ready.

This all out help being given out to the Maoists in Nepal is definitely going to be big mistake for our foreign policy framers in the future. A definite win situation is being created for the rebels in Nepal. This will automatically lead to the empowerment of the naxal and Maoist movement in India. A channel would also be opened from China through Nepal to India for arms smuggling. The Maoists once in power would always have their ideological leaving towards China and would be all out to help them encroach into Indian Territory.

The same voice that speaks of atrocities on poor people and talks of the fascist attitude of the various governments across the world that oppress free speech of the rebels seem to be quite silent on the cases of places like Myanmar and China.
