Canada Government funds film about Hindu Lord Shiva

Nevada (US),(ANI): Canada Government has reportedly funded a documentary on Lord Shiva, one of the divine trio of the Hindus-Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva.

Titled “The Great Night of Shiva”, which is premiering on February 23, revolves around extremely auspicious Mahashivaratri festival celebrated in honor of Lord Shiva, which falls on March three this year.

Welcoming this Canada Government gesture, distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed has described it as “a step in the right direction”.

Rajan Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that Canada Government should fund more Hinduism focused film projects as Hinduism was a storehouse of wisdom and Canada had considerable and increasing population of Hindus.
