Communal utterances of Thamrasserry Catholic Bishop

via R Sajan published on June 20, 2010

Following Excerpts are from a Pastoral letter issued by Thamrasserry Catholic Bishop. His site refers to him as His Lordship Mar Remigiose Inchananiyil. Is a Bishop “His Lordship’? He at least, seems to think so. I understand that Jesus Christ was a mere carpenter.

The Bishop says,

1. “The Church sold its golden crosses and golden vessels to start schools”

#The schools were started not to spread education. They were started to spread Western values and to gather more converts by catching them young. The Church that deals in gold is an anti-Christ Church. The assets are created/earned by the laity and not by the Church.

2. “Appointments are done by the Church on the basis of the special rights afforded by the Constitution to the minorities. Teachers thus appointed must not forget that they have the responsibility of protecting the beliefs and culture of the minorities.”

“Teachers who enjoy the fruits of the special Constitutional rights of the minorities must stay away from ideologies and postures that are against the beliefs and culture of the minorities.”

#This means that teachers from majority communities who do not subscribe to Christian beliefs are unwelcome. They better turn missionaries if they want their jobs.

3.  “Religious education should be able to invite students to knowledge of historic Christian experience, inculcating the inner sense of the Gospels and moulding a generation having morals and sense of values; and should thereby formulate the spiritual horizons of indigenous civilisation.”

“I lovingly request the Managers and Headmasters to ensure that religious and morality education classes are as such conducted in the schools.”

“Let us pray for a new education culture inspired and based on the Gospels.”

#Someone should go to Court against this moron for such communal utterances.

4. “We must not have a single institution that denies admission to the deserving just because they do not have money. Such institutions bear anti-testimony to the Gospels.”
#This is the most comic statement in the Pastoral epistle.

5. “I wish a fruitful academic year to everyone.”
#And by fruitful year, he means an year that would bear enough donation and capitation fee fruits.
