BJP president heaps praise on The Pioneer

The Pioneer came in for praises at the BJP’s national executive meeting for unearthing country’s largest ever scam in allotment of 2G spectrum at throw away prices. BJP chief Nitin Gadkari and Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley praised The Pioneer’s J Gopikrishnan who blew the lid off this mega scandal, which not only resulted into the resignation of A Raja as Telecom Minister but also landed the UPA Government in a big trouble.

“I must praise efforts undertaken by The Pioneer and J Gopikrishnan in uncovering this scandal,” Gadkari said on the concluding day of the party’s national executive meet in Guwahati on Sunday. The BJP chief said his party was proud to have Chandan Mitra, Editor of The Pioneer, as its MP and a member of the national executive. “I congratulate Chandan Mitra for exposing this scam. The entire nation and the party are thankful to him,” Gadkari said.

Jaitley was also appreciative of The Pioneer’s continuous effort to take the issue to a logical end.
