Goa Christians demand subsidised trips to holy land

via GSK Menon published on January 22, 2011

It is reported in newspapers today, 20/1/11 that Christians in Goa have demanded Haj like subsidies to go to Jerusalem. The issue is taking serious turn as converts in every state are being prompted to ask for free trips to West Asia. Why should a secular government spend funds to finance trips to alien countries ? At this rate even Communists will demand subsidies to visit graves of Marx, Lenin, Stalin and Mao. But, we never know the UPA government is very weak and full of cross bearers. The temptation to succumb to pressures is very very easy. Hindus need to be alert and extra vigilant.

I feel that Hindus should demand that:

1) if such subsidies are given then equivalent amount should be granted to Hindus    to develop Hindu temples in different parts of the country.

2) Hindus should demand subsidised trips to Pittsburgh in U.S.A. for pilgrimage.

3) Hindus should demand that Muslim and Christian organisations receiving donations should pay a compulsory Cess to finance such subsidised trips..

I request all Hindu organisations to start demanding similar “subsidies”, before any decision is taken by the Apex Court.
