Hyderabad, Aug 23:The All Christian Council today called upon the Union Government to include representatives of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, other Backward Classes and Minorities in Lokpal Bill consultation.

In a release, the All Christian Council(AICC) said the citizens concerned strongly objected to Team Anna’s absolute claim of representing civil society of the whole nation.

The supporters are upper caste, middle class and elite who do not represent 85 per cent of SC, ST and OBC and Minorities, it alleged.

Such a movement was threat to Indian secularism and democracy, the Council alleged and stated the concerned civil society strongly disagreed with Standing Committee recommended by the government and also Team Anna.

While accepting the conditions of looking at the integrity aspect of individuals being drawn into the Lokpal, the social justice principles must be followed, the Council pointed out.

The Bill must propose a Lokpal, consisting representative member from SCs,STs,OBCs and Minority Religious Communities and the presence of the representatives of SC, ST, OBC and Minority Communities.
