Alert Citizen’s oppose move to name Road after Pope

Thrissur: Alert Citizen’s under Kerala State Civil Rights Protection council objected to Thrissur Corporation’s decision to name a road after Pope John Paul II. The council has asked the authorities to withdraw the decision immediately, its chairman Therambil Sreedhraan said or to face stiff opposition.  “The Corporation’s decision cannot be accepted as it infringes upon provisions of the Constitution and conventions and customs in the country,” he said.
