Keep quiet or face the fate of Sister Abhaya ; Catholic church threatens whistle blower nun
Kottayam: In protest against rampant corruption and atrocities within Catholic Church, a sister decided to revoke her ‘holy’ dress. Church authorities started threatening and abusing sister Jaya when she questioned malpractices like diverting orphanage funds and selling food items in black market.
Church authorities threatened that she will have to face the fate of sister Abhaya. She also accuses church of robbing her salary. According to sister, church will give her only Rs 250 for monthly expenses and take her salary as a lecturer and hostel warden. Sister Jaya is now living with her family and send letter to church authorities expressing her intention to revoke ‘nun’ hood.
