Arabic University: Christian- Muslim Lobby Assert Communal Interests

via HK published on September 11, 2015

Thiruvananthapuram:  Notwithstanding the stiff opposition, Muslim League has decided to go ahead with the Arabic University in Kerala. The party plans to get the proposal going, while in power. According to sources, as many as 25 Muslim organizations are standing party to the Muslim League’s demands for the same.

It is also a known fact that the Islamist party has taken advantage of the numerous scams that have rocked the UDF ministry. They are also the chief beneficiaries of almost all mammoth project signed by the UDF. This, at a time when it is rumoured that even Chief Minister Oommen Chandy or Finance Minister Mani has no special relevance regarding the project.

The unbridled powers being enjoyed Muslim League and their garnering forces to implement the Arabic University project is no doubt a divisive step that would erupt the communal harmony of the state. The League’s proposal has no doubt left the Christian lobby in the state jittery, with the Islamization jeaopardizing their Evangalization spree.

However, in spite of all influences they seem to be wielding, the Christian lobby is fully aware that their faithful Oommen Chandy, along with the rest of UDF is at the beck and call of Muslim League. Hence the latest tool being harnessed by them is state finance
minister KM Mani, who seems to have been advised by the Christian lobby to make complete use of his prowess as finance head and rein in the unbridled Muslim League.

The ongoing tussle between Islamist and Evangelist forces in God’s Own Country, under the garb of public interest has made one thing apparent- the Christian and Muslim sections of society have made their communal agenda very clear!
